Another tune I recorded of my Mom and I on a tape deck many years ago. We were both learning the tune and she had only been playing mandolin for just a little while. My attempt at some melodic picking, which the timing gave me a little trouble.

I tried to pick this up by listening to Eric Weisberg on the Deliverence soundtrack. Not exact but pretty close for the first time I tried to learn something by ear and not tab. Again with Mom and friends years ago.

Found this recording recently after my Mom passed away last month. It is of the two of us and a couple friends playing the tune about 18 years ago.

Me, Mom and Friends. Pushing our luck on the tempo, we start slow and steady and then go as fast as we can just for fun.

Ray Beatty on clawhammer and myself picking scruggs style. Inspired by John McEuen and Earl Scruggs. Just having fun, always loved the sound of the two styles together. Milo Ward on Bass and Richard Mathis on guitar. Recorded in Oak Ridge TN along with the other posted music.
