I learned this on the fiddle from a Bruce Molsky DVD in the key of A tuned AEAC#. I moved it over to the banjo last winter. I'm tuned somewhere around d#BF#BC# which is I beleive Kyle Creed's Lost Indian tuning down a half step (although his melody is another tune entirely, closer to the bluegrass Lost Indian or Cherokee Shuffle).
