I didn't use studio equipment for this demo (because I have none). Comprised of Cry of the whippoorwill, Like the weather your heart changes with each season, Banjo boy chimes, and Fireball mail.

Third long-distance collaboration with my friends Bene and Jeannette (guitars) in Switzerland. A slow-paced well-known instrumental.

Studio recording 2008/2009 with Rodeo Ranchers, a country music band well known in Switzerland, rodeoranchers.ch, with addition of Andy Waeldele, a classically trained, but extremely versatile violinist from Southern Germany who plays fiddle and mandolin on this track. I took A LOT of liberties with Tony's original banjo breaks.

Off of my banjo CD from 2001. The A part of this tune comes from Papi Galan, a Paraguayan harp player who lives or lived in Switzerland. He aptly called the tune Pequeno pajaro suiza (little Swiss bird); it definitely sounds Swiss. I added the B part in a different key. Banjo(s) muted with two clothespins.

A long-distance collaboration with my friends Bene and Jeannette who sent me a recording of them 'minus banjo' as they called it, of this Canadian French/English song, and which I gladly completed. It was a 1964 hit by Lucille Starr, who died three weeks ago.

Off of my 2001 banjo CD, http://banjo-tabs.com/?p=mycd. I think that with 'Russian around', Bob Yellin created one of the best banjo tunes of all time, but I have never heard anybody else play it, and never had the opportunity to perform it myself. The fiddle on this recording was played by Matthias Linke, one of only a handful of bluegrass fiddlers in Switzerland, but who went far into Slavic ground stylistically, adding a copious amount of flavor to the tune.

Off of my banjo CD from 2001. This homage to the music of Paraguay has four parts with the second half of each being in Paraguayan polka rhythm which is a mix of 3/4 and 4/4 time.
