I was -- a very long time ago -- an up and comer in the bluegrass banjo world. Vietnam intervened, and I've lived a life of regret ever since. Life has taken me along many creative paths, and I'm satisfied in every way except this one. The 5-string banjo WAS my life, but it got away, and I've been watching from the sidelines ever since. I learned the instrument before tablature, so my rolls and rhythms were a bit different than you hear today. I've made a promise to myself to get back on a stage sometime, and my journey is beginning here.
