Hi folks,
Grab your fellow bluegrassers, and those that listen and come to one of my jams.
There are three I host. Two are at the Foothills Public Library in Glendale, Az. on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of every month at 1 to 3 PM. The library is on 57th Ave North of Union Hills and South of the 101. The jams are mostly bluegrass, but any music is accepted if you can demonstrate it to the group. The instruments are almost always acoustic, but Nicky occasionally brings his keyboard, so you can see there aren't many rules. You can't bring your pets or I'd bring my Parrot Ivy, but she can't come until she learns to play an instrument.
The other jam is at the Knights of Columbus in Glendale just North of Northern off 49th Ave behind the childcare place. This jam is on the 2nd Friday of every month between 6 and 8 PM. Otherwise the rules are the same as the library. There are hardly any.
They have a heck of a fish fry and the beer is only $1.50 a mug, but you don't have to be fishy if you're uninclined. They serve other good food, but you don't have to buy anything and admission is free. Ice water is provided on a serve yourself basis.
The KoC jam is currently short a bass player, so if you do it or know someone that does, I will be eternally, rather nearly eternally, temporarily in your debt which I am probably unable to pay. Dog house or even guitar bass need apply.
