Always like Earl, of course. I've enjoyed Trischka for the wide varieties of genres he'll get into. Also Scott Vestal & Ron Block. Recently got turned onto Buddy Wachter on 4 string.

I started on guitar over 40 years ago. Been playing that most of my life. I have also worked a little on electric bass. I became familiar with 5-string while playing with a bluegrass unit back in the 90s, but didn't pick it up till a couple of years ago. Still trying to find my way around on it. I've also got a tenor I hardly get to play. Maybe that'll change. I earned a couple of music degrees on guitar and spent about 18 years teaching at the college level. I now work out of a cool music store in Boerne, Tx called Hearts' Home Acoustics. We sell mainly custom guitars but, with the recent addition of Tyler Jackson to our staff, we are beginning to offer more in the way of banjos. Needless to say, Tyler is re-sparking my interest in Banjo. I hope to learn a bit on the forums and also to be able to contribute something at some point.
