Grew up in The #1 Township of Cleveland County NC...about 5 miles from the Scruggs houses. My family knew and worked with them, my Grandfather and Junie worked together at the original Duke Power Plant. I've been immersed in Bluegrass/Classic Country/Old Time music since 6 weeks old...spending time with many of the pioneers in our homes...going to shows and festivals all over the US. I attended Crest High School and Limestone College. I've worked as a professional Audio Engineer since 1977, touring the world with major artists from 1981 through 1990...the last 20 years at WNCW-FM Spindale NC. I host "Goin' Across The Mountain" and "The Gospel Truth.
