Style on 4 sting

Hi, I recently inherited my fathers 4 string 17 fret open back banjo and I want to know what style I can play.  Claw hammer or bluegrass?  Or is there yet another style.  I know it is standard tuning not Irish tuning.

Took lessons with my Dad as a teenager. He on his Tenor Banjo and me on Piano learning Honkey Tonk. We played together. We moved apart Now I have that Tenor Banjo and found a teacher through this website. I have had my third lesson and login it.
