My grandfather, William J. Derr [as shown in my profile picture], taught string instruments at his school in Toledo OH in the 20's. He died before I met him and I know almost nothing about him. My mother had a photo of him in an all banjo band which had to be cut into two parts to fit in her album. I have scanned them and put them in my photo album. I think the picture might be of interest as Fred Bacon is sitting in the middle of the group and mom sort of cut him apart. He is the gentleman at the far right in the Part 1 photo. I think several of the musicians in the photo are also famous. Each one signed their name on the margin of the photo.
I would greatly appreciate any information you can give me about the band shown in the picture and anything about my grandfather Derr. I am currently archiving my family history as I am the last living one. Maybe the family will live on Internet?
