Well work was kinda busy so haven't been near the hangout in a while.

At first couldn't get a tune for the life of me out of my banjo and sorta figured well I ain't a natural for sure. My strategy was then to just plug away at chords and the clawhammer technique to become more fluid even if I had no success and maybe I would start to get it.

My birthday arrived and my girlfriend bought me a Gold Tone Plucky which is a fab little instrument though none of the richness of sound my WL. So now I can practise on my lunch breaks in work as I travel a lot in work. This is where my embarrassing newbie admission takes place, the Plucky was delivered all setup from Eagle music and when I played it I found all of a sudden I was able to play a whole range of songs I never could before!

It turns out when I got my WL I had to set it up and its been way out of tune all this time!! Well my excuse is I'm a newbie......

I quickly downloaded an app on my phone that tells me the tuning whenI play a string and haven't looked back.
