My love of banjo started in early childhood listening to jam sessions at the home of some family friends. I finally purchased a banjo in 2007 and was terrified of it. A few years later I took most of it apart and put it back together again thanks to some fine folks on utube and my terror was dramatically reduced. Recently I started taking lessons and I have a hard time putting my banjo down.
