So this is my first blog post! I don't really think that I have any sort of high BHO status or following yet because I'm pretty new to the site so I'm not really sure how many people will actually see this.
But to anyone out there that is willing to read this, let me know if there are any songs that you would like me to record! I have a few more songs in mind that I would like to make videos of but I'm sure my supply will run out eventually. Ideally they would be songs with .tef tabs from this site so I can easily find the tab and listen to the song but I'm still open to other suggestions.
I'll probably make a post about this on a forum as well. I just have to figure out which category this falls into. Thanks for reading!

I started playing the banjo May 22, 2011. I already had some prior experience with fingerpicking on guitar so I figured the banjo would be the next logical step to really expand on my picking. Right after my birthday on Cinco de Mayo I decided to use some of my birthday money to buy a banjo. I started off with an Oscar Schmidt OM-1 and immediately fell in love with the instrument. I played for a few months on that "tin can" until I knew for sure that the banjo would be a lifelong instrument. I then payed a little visit to the savings account that October and took the next big step up to my current banjo, a Recording King RK-75 elite. Since then I've been playing and writing every chance I get and have loved every second of it. The instrument has actually payed itself off by now due to my weekly performances with a local bluegrass band in a restaurant in Rome, GA. I also received a $1000 scholarship for winning the Rome, GA Kiwanis Club Music Showcase with a piece that I wrote. I now attend the University of Georgia in Athens hoping to eventually become an orthodontist and continue to play the banjo any chance I get.
