I was wondering if there are any Bluegrass pickers in the Marinette, WI. I haven't played in a long time and would be interested in getting together and jamming a little. I played and sang lead / baritone for a group named Bluff Creek out of Ocean Springs, Mississippi in the early 2000's and recorded two Gospel albums with them during that time. We were openers for a show in Pascagoula, Mississippi featuring Marty Rabon. This show was in support of Governor Haley Barber's race for Governor campaign. One of the songs I wrote was published on the second album "Popaw's Place". In the early 1980's I played banjo and sang baritone with two groups out of Mansfield, Ohio; "Ohio Bluegrass Company" and The Light Shades of Grass. I was also the banjo player and lead singer for a group called "The Bluegrass Connection" around 1981.
My all time favorite music is Bluegrass Gospel. I am a Christian, love God with all of my heart and would really like to play some gospel music given an opportunity. I love the bluegrass style and gospel harmonies that can be produced with sincere dedication and practice. I am 58 years old, so I am very rusty due to the years of slack time and my fingers certainly don't work like they used to. It takes awhile to get warmed up now days. My email address is cliffnoel@hotmail.com if you are close to Marinette and interested in a little jamming drop me a line. God Bless !!!!! :)
