Hey. brand new. Looking for talk and advice. My 6 string gibson split back banjo guitar needs TLC. Gave it to GuitarParlor in Rieglesville Pa.,and she just about butchered it. Even kept parts from it before giving it back. I need a skin for a 14" head, yea, a 14"head, any advice? Stay away from guitar parlor, she is not as good as advertised, and is slow and spite full. Also looking for info on where the serial number might be. My grandfather told me he bought it in 1921, but I would love to find out exactly. I have heard it might be between the neck and the body. could that be true? Again, be carefull of guitar parlor, she charged me $320 to take the strings off and keep parts.
