B. Salt Lake City 1939, moved to L.A. shortly after. Moved to San Francisco in 1962, got journalism degree at SF State Coilege. Worked as a journalist for Bay Area newspapers from 1964-2001. Retired. Married to Beverly Joan Byrd since 1962. Two children (one deceased). Two grandsons. Playing in two bands as of 2017: The UnConcord and The Irish Newsboys.
