Can anyone tell me what I have. I have had this Banjo since the early 60's. The only name on it is carved into the last section of the neck between the fret and the body. "LaFima". The resonator is 14" with 7 black radial spokes and a beutiful circular grain. The neck has a mother of pearl 16 fret continuous floral vine containg leaves, flowers and stars.
The peg head is a highly inlaid mother of pearl design. There appears to be fine lines of a lemon colored wood on the back of the neck. I haven't taken off the resonator because of the large number of screws and I don't to damage anything. Any thoughts?
