I used Phosphor Bronze strings on my 6 string acoustic guitar for years and liked the sound. I was wondering what the Bronze Strings sound like on a 5 string Banjo w / resonator. I currently have Steel strings on, maybe Nickel wound, I am not sure. Is there a noticable difference in sound with the Bronze ? Do most Banjo players prefer Steel Strings ?Add Comment

Musicians: I like many types of music from all generations, there are So Many talented people out there especially ones who get little recognition, just look on Youtube, some of these people are Amazing. I grew up with a lot of Classic Rock, Prog Rock & Metal which I still love, but have grown to appreciate other types of music as well.

Currently I am a degreed professional looking for work (ha) what a joke, not too many jobs anymore. Always liked music, both listening, learning and playing for fun, Its a good past-time. Currently interested in the Banjo .I always wanted to have one and learn, they sound great. Maybe someday I can own a better model if I can ever afford one. I Live in NJ, not too many Banjo players sorry to say, but there are a lot of Guitarists, Metal Heads and Rockers.
