Lookin to upgrade banjo

Just started playing in january of 2012, been playing a used hondo II, my teacher recomended that when i upgrade i should look for a banjo with a bronze tone ring. Do they have a better sound than a banjo with a brass tone ring ? I have been looking at a savannah sb-300 one website says it does have a bronze tone ring, but others say it has a brass tone ring
