It's the holiday season at UltimateBanjo.com!

Friday, November 23, 2012

Happy holidays everybody!

Now is the time to be getting those music books you've always wanted to either own yourself or to give as a gift to your favorite musician.  Ordering in the next couple of weeks insures you getting delivery before Christmas especially if you're ordering from outside the United States.

This time of year, the "Ultimate Guide's Favorite Christmas Songs" is always a big seller.  More and more people are going Christmas caroling each year and this book is the perfect choice for banjoists and carolers alike.  The "Christmas Songs" book comes complete with lead sheets to many of the holiday favorites as well as an accompanying sing-along booklet.  Beyond that, extra sing-along booklets can be purchased for $40 in packages of 10.  That's only $4.00 a book!  And this year, for the first time, Ultimate Banjo is offering printable pdfs of the Sing Along booklet for free by download!  Make the most out of your holiday party by getting everyone to sing!  Banjo organizations can also use the lead sheet music book to develop public performances.  It's great fun to do!

You'll find the "Ultimate Guide's Favorite Christmas Songs" in the www.UltimateBanjo.com website by clicking on the "Ultimate Series" link on the home page and then finding the book itself.  The free pdfs are linked directly through the home page.

There are many excellent music books for banjo players in www.UltimateBanjo.com!  One of the newest and most popular is "Riley's Routines of Musical Comedy."  Author and banjoist Jim Riley has put together a wonderful collection of burlesque and bawdy tunes that are great to learn and fairly easy to play.  These tunes will bring smiles to you and all those in your audience.  Jim's book can be found in www.UltimateBanjo.com by clicking on "Books By Other Authors" - Then on Jim's name.

Another favorite for jazz players and banjoists alike is Sheik's "Dixieland Fakebook."  This is an excellent collection of lead sheets that is the foundation for many of the tunes you hear bands playing today.  Sheik has put out two volumes of his Dixieland Fakebook set.  He also has other books available through www.UltimateBanjo.com that are worth checking out.

While in the site, be sure to check out the other books currently available.  The number continues to grow!  Thanks again for making www.UltimateBanjo.com the number one four-string banjo book website in the world.
