Started listening to banjo and old Timey about 10 years ago...bought an old beaten up Lefty Banjer round about the same time which lived under the bed gathering dust, stayed there till I went to a WEA banjo course taken by Rob earlier this year..now I can bang out a tune or two, but the real pleasure is meeting all the fine folks at the Old Timey Jams, they are all so nice and willing to help a newbie...the best bit is watching Christine's rapid progress with her playing...very gratifying to see her enthusiasm and dedication....makes it all worth while...
