Fooled around with stringed instruments for 30 years. Got serious about mandolin in 2011. Joined a Bluegrass quartet in January 2012 as mandolin player (with fiddle, guitar, and upright bass). Played banjo on my first song with the band later that year and now have made banjo my primary instrument at jams, though I play about half our band repertoire on banjo and half on mandolin. Happily serving the Lord as a pastor for over 20 years.
