Grew up in Southern California, first hearing the banjo coming out of our tinny Zenith t.v. from HeeHaw! Loved banjo ever since childhood, and finally realized I could learn to play it and got started in my teens. Wheee! Never looked back. Play in a SoCal band, Windy Ridge for my bluegrass fix, and go to festivals for the rest. I play mandolin at church to add a different sound to the regular guitar-driven tones that are the usual.
