I just read a post on here about A - scale banjos. I don't know if mine qualifies as an A scale
or even a short scale, but I just have to tell you that my "Sonotube banjo has a 25" scale and it
fits my hands great and I really like it. I keep it tuned D O W N to dADF#A and it is really nice.
I strung it up with my old standby monofilament fishing line . !st string=30lb , 2nd string=30lb
3rd string= 50lb , 4thstring= 80lb , 5thstring=30lb. the strings aren't floppy. I love a low tuned banjo.
