In 1999 I found out that First Quality was making the necks and resonators for Gibson banjos. I asked Bill Sullivan and he confirmed this as fact in a round about way.
I have a 1928 TB-4 and sent it to first Quality to have a new neck and resonator made for my Banjo. Of course I had to send my Pot assembly to Bill so he could confirm this was what I claimed it was. No problem there. So he made the neck and resonator.
Now here is my question:
Is my Gibson Banjo a true Gibson? If not, how about the person that bought their Gibson banjo in 1999. Is their Banjo a true Gibson?
