I had a slipping planetary gear (post turning) problem on a cheap banjo. I tried many fixes such as various flat gasket materials under the nut, and nothing worked. I then tried a rubber O-Ring (1/4 in. I.D.in this case) fitting snugly over the shaft and seated under the nut. I tightened the nut until no slippage occurred. The O-Ring I.D. compressed onto the shaft under the nut pressure, and worked perfectly.
