I bought a Harmony banjo in the 80's and learned up-picking at the free lessons at the music store. Finally a few years ago I forced myself to leave the up-picking behind and learn Scruggs picking. Now I enjoy both. The Harmony has been replaced with a Deering Sierra and recently I picked up a new Deering Goodtime. 4 pounds! What a difference. So now I have something to drag around with me without worrying about the Sierra. I like to sit on the front porch and pick in the evenings. I'd love to have anyone interested come enjoy the shade and the company. Bring your banjo :-)
