I have always been around Blue grass but I'm just now starting to get into it and want to get a banjo and learn how to play. I'm 17 and tonight went out and looked at a couple different brands. One was the fender fb54 resonator banjo and the sales person at the music store told us about a dearing goodtime banjo with a resonator. The fender was 339 and the dearing was 529. Is the dearing worth the extra 200 or should I just get the Fender, or is there a better brand around the same price? I appreciate the help.
