I am brand new to the banjo! I started playing the cello when I was 9 years old and am classically trained on it. I have a bachelor's in Music Education and a Master's in Cello Performance, but no background at all in the banjo or bluegrass music besides that I teach my students intensely about it! I love bluegrass music and am very excited about learning to play this incredible instrument! I would love any suggestions or pointers from anyone else who was trained classically on another instrument and then switched to banjo- I feel like I am starting all over again!
