No Foggy Mountains in Los Angeles! - (Day 32/One Month)

Thursday, October 6, 2011

Been a while since I wrote in my blog. Been working really hard on a 1984 Chevy Van that we bought to get it ready for a big trip to LA to visit family. It's about a 1500 mile round trip so wanted to make sure everything was ship-shape. Brakes, wheel bearings, Radiator, hoses, belts, tune-up etc... Been working on my banjo too as time will allow, hardly even touch my poor guitar. I'm still working on my Foggy Mtn.... something is still missing, not sure what it is... I will not give up, will keep working on it till it's right. Been working on some other tunes too and I even wrote a new song on my banjo, called "Take It Away, Fly".

The Van made it over the 'Grapevine' with no problems. We're here now in LA with our family and the weather is great. Cool & Sunny. Just perfect for a fall day in LA. It was supposed to rain all the way here but we got lucky and the weather man was wrong. So, there was no 'Fog' or Rain or even thunder at all on the way. I feel lucky and blessed! Amen!

PS. Homemade Chili tonight! yum!

Been a musician all my life. It's in my blood. My father, Jerry Wallace was a singer & guitarist. Did pretty good for himself. Me, I'm a working musician. Meaning, I like to make sure I get paid when I play a gig, and I have other work that I do to help pay the bills as well. I do online sales & am also a bike mechanic.
