I own a Průcha banjo which I love but always thought it was a little mellow. After doing some research I decided to try a new bridge. Not living to far from Bart I sent him a few notes by email and finally got to meet him and purchase a bridge. Bart not only sold me a bridge but set my banjo up as well. I am astounded in the difference in the volume and tone of the banjo with his mystery bridge. Not knowing much about banjos I would have never thought that type of sound was possible. As Bart says "Now you've got a bluegrass banjo". We both spent some time playing the Průcha and Bart was very encouraging about my abilities and I was very impressed with his tunes and claw hammer playing. I also purchased his German thumb pics and am amazed at the tonal difference from what I am used to and ease of playability. I hope to visit soon and maybe take a lesson or purchase some more pics as I know I will surely lose the one I have.
