I have been involved in music in some way for most of my life. Have played over 700 shows professionaly from Coast to Coast with my original Celtic band since 1999. I have recieved numerous awards for song writing including one from Bill Board Magazine in 2002. My primary instrument is guitar, but playing banjo, mandolin and fiddle makes people think that I am a lot more talented than I really am. Recently broke up the Celtic project :( and now I play rhthym guitar and sing with a classic rock band. I have been with SHS the parent company of Morgan Monroe for 15 years now, which has been great as they have always been accomodating to my travel and performance schedule. I have been leading music at an all Spanish speaking Church for about 2 1/2 years and "Mi Espanol es muy Poco" I have taught everyone in the band how to play their instruments (no banjo as yet but I am working on it" I also just recently decided to venture out with a solo music project and am currently working on 2 brand new CD's. One more Celtic flavored stuff like I have written in the past and the other a new endeavor for me, a Children's Album. I will be recording it at my 24 track home studio on my vintage ADAT system then mixing it down to Wave Lab through a fire wire pre-amp for mastering. My primary non musical focus is helping diabetics manage their disease and in raising money to fund research for a cure for diabetis, the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. You can donate to help the cause here http://ride.jdrf.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=rideCentral.personalpage&riderID=6673 and you can find out how I am raising money with my bicycle at www.myspace.com/mrarminta I have been a type one diabetic for over 34 years and there is nothing I like better than to help other people (diabetic or not) enjoy the quality of life and health that I have acheived in spite of having this disease. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions
