Just an aging hippie that still likes folk music. I played guitar for a long time, then while recovering from a triple bypass I decided I should buy a banjo. After a little research I bought a Goodtime and took some lessons. Now I'm addicted to clawhammer banjo and old time music. Besides playing on my porch and entertaining the neighbors, I started collecting banjos, repairing them, sometimes selling them. I now have a few dating back to the late 1800's and early 1900's, and a few in pieces that I'm rebuilding. I've been inspired by Craig Evan's Banjo Buiders interviews, and last October I had the pleasure of being in Pisgah Banjo's 1st banjo building course. Now I'm hoping to start building a few more. It's great when my hobbies come together...
