I myself do not play the banjo. I love banjo music just the same though. There are some banjo players who can really make them "talk" and some of them that you wish would remain silent... I like the players who choose a melodic style especially. I also enjoy clawhammer. I fell in love with banjo music as a child hearing "The Darlings", Theme of Bonnie & Clyde, and of course the Beverly Hillbilly's when Flatt & Scruggs were on there. I play the upright bass and some mandolin, and love to sing Bluegrass (my favorite) Bluegrass Gospel, and Southern Gospel/Quartett type. I have several people whom I think the world of who play banjo's that are members here and I'm proud to say one banjo builder, "The Banjo Builder" Arthur Hatfield that I consider dear friends. So, that being said... is why I too am a member on Banjo Hangout! Then to add as an "Update"... as of February 14, 2023 I married my soulmate, and best friend... a BANJO player! (and a goodun' at that!) LOL
