My older brother came home from colllege in the mid 70's and had taken up banjo. I was hooked from that point on. I never could really get much past novice on Scruggs style and didn't play much up until a couple of years ago. My daughter started taking dulcimer in school. There was a local Old Time Music camp (mainly dulcimer) locally that she was going. They had a beginning clawhammer class so I took it. I have progressed more in 2 years of clawhammer than in 20 of Scruggs style! A large part due to this site!
