Started learning to pick the 5-string banjo when I was in the U.S. Navy and stationed at McMurdo Station Antarctica in Jan. 1971. Here it is exactly 45 years later (2016) and I'm still learning to pick...but I love it. I love my Nechville Phantom.....it's now 16 years old! Also an avid pilot - private pilot, single-engine-land.
