As a musician, I probably sound best left alone on the back porch. I make most of my living as an expert woodworker with extensive experience in architectural restoration, heavy timber work, log construction and wooden boats. I also have a background as a photographer and in professional video. I am also occasionally a recording engineer and sound guy. I now seem to be falling hopelessly into stringed instrument making. My dad's side of the family has a long history of luthery and musicians, both sides are woodworkers and pattern makers, so I guess this is a natural progression. So far I've built two banjos and nearing completion of an electric guitar. I'm fast becoming addicted to building instruments.
