I live in western Montana (Hamilton) Been playing banjo for 40+- years and teaching for 39+, and have taught over 900 people to play. I was Chairman of the Bitterroot Valley Bluegrass Festival for over 16 years and retired in 2006. Unfortunately, the gentleman I turned the Festival over to passed away in 2008. Since then, nobody has stepped up to take over the reins. Was playing with a fantastic group called Blue to the Bone, but now am with Sapphire Mountain Bluegrass. I teach Scruggs style. You can reach me at markd@bitterroot.com or 1/406/363-8058. I learned from Gary Wiley and Marc Pruett in NC. Love to jam.
