I Played upright bass for several BG bands in and around the Balto-Wash area in the sixties and seventies and finally scratched the banjo itch wih a Gold Star I picked up on Ebay.
I now play a Mark Taylor flat head and might finally break into some decent back up playing. Also having a Clawhammer banjo being rebuilt for me. I don't know exactly what you call it but whatever Lynn Morris does on "Old Rip" really speaks to me! Recently lucked into a tb-100 conversion. then moved to South Carolina. I sold the TB-100 and bought a '34 TB-3 with a Huber neck and conversion ring.To explain my user name I'm 6'6" and weigh around 310 lbs
