born 1954, Born Again, 1976. Started playing the banjo in 1972 after my piano teacher, bless her wonderful heart, had to quit teaching because of too much stress. I played for 10-15 years, then tapered way back until 2003 or so. Now, I'm playing in an amateur Gospel Bluegrass band that ministers to the folks in nursing homes, etc. I suppose you could claim we're professionals, because one evening after we played at an assisted living center in Cleburne, Texas, one of the residents came up and gave each of us a can of salted peanuts. Yes, on our first paid engagement, we played for peanuts! I'm also a runner. I ran the Cowtown marathon in 2006, and Lord willing, will run a marathon a year for 10 years, until I'm 62. I also do the Marine Mud Run every year. See "www.mudrundfw.com" for what a Mud Run is. I'm live a little south of Fort Worth, Texas. Email me from the 'Hangout if you live in the area or will be passing through, and we can try to get together and jam! God Bless! Kim
