I started playing in a band professionally when I was fourteen. I discovered the banjo hearing Earl on the Beverly Hillbillies but it was John Hartford and the Steam Powered Aeroplain album that blew me away. I put together a bluegrass/folk band that played for three years as a house band while I was in University. I have played many different instruments in many different bands including fiddle in a Celtic band. I teach banjo, guitar and fiddle at Ryson's Studios and I do recording production and studio musician work playing the various instruments that I can play.
