Eclectic - everything from Mozart to Michael Jackson and much in between, as long as it's well-written and well-performed.
On this site, my favorites so far have been Chip Arnold and Royce.
I love the rippling, bouncing quality that comes with a lot of old-time banjo music, especially some of the 2-finger picking stuff. Afraid I also love Duelling Banjos!

Married with a gorgeous 9 month old son, and currently working as an emergency doctor in Milton Keynes. Ever since I heard the plunky, rippling tones in Cat Ballou as a child, I've loved the sound of the banjo. Each time I saw Billy Connelly playing, watched the scene from Deliverance, or occasionally heard traces of the instrument in various bands (e.g. the Finn Brothers) I've meant to buy a banjo, but I only got around to it a few months ago. It now lives in my car within easy reach and I play whenever I can. I'm still very much a beginner, but I can see this being a lifelong joy.
