Started playing banjo in 1972. Played in several bands. Taught an introductory course at a community college for 5 years.Taught privately. I have been on several recordings. Semi-retired from the banjo for many years and have been playing upright bass. I still enjoy picking banjo to keep up my licks and tunes. I have returned to teaching/mentoring beginning banjo players. I spent almost 20 years as a festival and Awards Show MC and Bluegrass radio show host on a University radio station. I worked for almost 30 years as a reporter/announcer with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and retired in 2004.
