Well...

I took the leap and mounted a Renaissance head on my newly purchased 5 yr. old Gold Tone CC-100. Put on a set of light gauge strings and went away for the weekend to bond with my banjo. By gosh I think I'll be able to play this thing. What fun!!!.

My thanks goes out to everyone on this site who contributes all the great information that makes learning the banjo a much less painful experience.

Gotta go, I think I hear my banjo calling...

My wife and I play old time music. Appalachian fiddle tunes played by my wife on the Mountain Dulcimer and me backing her up on guitar. I always wanted to learn the banjo but never had the chance. Well the time has come.
