Arkansas Red, Joe Craven, Elmer Snowden, Bill Rutan, Hot Five, Hot Seven, Red Hot Peppers (Jelly Roll Morton), Kid Ory, Bunk Johnson, George Lewis, George Grove, Erik Darling, Mark Dvorak, anyone who plays Seeger style banjo, Pete's version of "Little Birdie" is the best, I like musicians that can sing well and keep a beat....Peggy Seeger, Obray Ramsey, (I like his style of playing), Derroll Adams, there are so many. I tend not to like bluegrass too much (it's too showy and pyrotechnical)...I like the banjo best when you can sing with it.
