Hello all
I just found this site a few minutes ago. Normally I lurk around a few weeks before posting on a new web fora, so as to learn the local customs and not offend, but since y'all are banjo people I figure I"ll just bulldoze right in.
Been playing clawhammer for 12 years. Began in SW Virginia where there were alot of players, now live in Florida and it's hard to find people that do old time here. "Is that bluegrass?" You know...
I've never really played with others much, and that is sort of the point of old-time I guess.
I am definately starting to feel stagnant with my playing. Playing the same dozen or so tunes over and over. But I love to new stuff that others have recorded, it inspires me.
ANyway...howdy!!
