Well, I had some time available tonight since my wife and kids are out of town until tomorrow. I decided to record myself playing the first tune I learned from Dan Levenson's "Old-Time Festival Tunes for Clawhammer Banjo" which I received on Saturday. More or less, this is to give others here at BHO an idea of where I am in my playing.
The song "Black Eyed Susie" is the first song I have played in Double C(capoed at 2) tuning. I guess I just had to try it out so I could make up my own mind about the tuning. It's a short recording. I only did one repeat. I am also likely playing it too fast, but that's the speed I liked it. Since I'm playing alone that's all that matters.
Check it out if you like and feel free to leave some feedback.

I started banjo frailing to folks songs. I've begun working on some fiddle tunes. Regardless I am interested in any type of music and trying to find a place for the banjo. I am always looking for people to jam with so if you are in the Eastern Iowa area, let me know.
