I AM HAPPILY MARRIED TO A WONDERFUL LADY. ***************************************************************************************** NO THAT"S NOT ME IN THE PHOTO. THAT'S "THE MAN" EARL SCRUGGS PLAYING MY PERSONAL BANJO! ***************************************************************************************** Playing guitar since I was 12. Cut my teeth on old honky-tonk country guitar tunes. Played in my share of rock bands. Got a real job when I was 21 in law enforcement. Worked as a Detective in Connecticut and Deputy Sheriff in Alachua County (Gainesville) Florida. Gooooo Gators! Picked up the banjo for a few months some years ago. Put it down for years. Just picked it up again about 6 months ago. Now own a Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard and I'm totally obsessed with the 5-string banjo. Just love all of it. I'm picking it up fairly quickly since I have a strong guitar background, but I play the banjo a hundred times more than the guitar these days. ***************************************************************************************** The photo at left is Earl Scruggs playing MY PERSONAL banjo. He also signed the head of my banjo, which I had switched out for a new one. I feel so blessed to have a banjo signed by Earl and actually held in Earl's hands and played by him.
