Hello friends from banjo hangout, hoping to find interesting themes that can help my learning. Right now I'm into bluegrass style, and want to learn to distinguish chords and scales, also tips on when to use capo.

I´ll be putting up some music soon I also play guitar and mandolin.

Thank you, and blessings to everybody

I have played guitar since kid, then electric bass in the 80's with a hard-heavy rock band named MIDAS TOUCH (here in Monterrey MEXICO). I have always liked very much the folk-country-blurgrass style and 3-4 years ago my wife gave me a mandolin as a Christmas present and got myself very much into bluegrass and acoustic music, gipsy swing, and some jazz too. Now a day I'm trying to incorporate the banjo to my music, and hoping to be recording next 10 to 12 months a proyect of my own called BUSCANDO RAICES (Looking for roots), that incorporates some folk, bluegrassy-type, regional, gipsy-jazz, other...tunes; I have found some similarities in the heritage or origins of the bluegrass and old time songs to the ones we used to hear in the past here in Nuevo León (polkas, schotizes, etc..). Also trying to ensemble an acoustic band with guitars, mandolin, banjo, violin etc,,
