I'm the mandolin player for the Willow Branch bluegrass band and owner of Pickersville Recording Studio. I have played bluegrass since I was 7 years old. That's when I was given my first guitar. At age 12 I picked up the banjo. I played banjo with my brothers Mike and Bill in a band we dubbed The McDonald Brothers. I also played banjo and helped found the Steel Creek bluegrass band out of Raleigh, NC. A few years back Willow Branch needed a mandolin player so I sold my banjo and bought a mandolin. I picked up the banjo again about a year ago. It's starting to come back.
