I started out playing bass and guitar as a kid and guitar was my main instrument. I was in a few bands over the past 22 years and within the past few, began to play more acoustic music. I am a confident player of mandolin, banjo, 6&12 string guitar, bass, soprano/ baritone ukuleles and rusty tuba. (That is my playing is rusty , not the tuba). I have just released a cd featuring myself in studio on all instruments, and have been playing locally with a bass player billing our selves as a string act playing old time swing , rag, blues, (and a little jazz) in a style coined as "Baklava". Old time string music has greatly influenced my playing or scordatura, if you prefer. I also enjoy pre war blues like Blind Boy Fuller and 70's- 80's punk rock like Dead Kennedys and Bad Brains.
